The Projects are a brand new co-working and serviced office space for Brighton’s creative community. They launched in November 2018 (for more details about the launch party we organised, please click here) and needed some help creating and curating their programme of events to ensure it reflected their brand values, while being relevant, interesting and innovative.
The Great Little Events Company held a half-day workshop with their Operations Manager and Community Manager to drill down into their brand values and how they wanted to position the space within Brighton’s co-working community. We worked out the two strands of events, for members and non-members, and the best way to attract both kinds of customer.
Once we had worked that out, we held a ‘no judgement’ ideation exercise, where we came up with all kinds of ideas for events, before going through a targeting exercise to work out which were most coherent with the client’s brand values. We ensured that the client left with a clear, accountable list of actions, all with timeframes, to create the best programme of events for the space. We have been delighted to see some of the events already in place, and running very successfully!
Alex Young, the Community Manager, said this about the session:
‘Georgina’s Event Strategy Workshop has helped me clarify exactly what I need to be doing when planning and running events in my role. Being Brighton’s first co-working members’ club, it is extremely important that we curate an events programme which provides real value to our members, gives them a chance to collaborate and be inspired. My colleague, Beth Lewis, and I attended the Workshop, facilitated by Georgina and we were both hugely impressed with her well-thought through, engaging approach to assisting us in coming up with events for members and non-members, all of which had purpose behind them.
‘Georgina’s swiftness in replying to us, getting everything organised and following up with detailed notes all made the experience even more fantastic. We can’t recommend her Workshops highly enough and will definitely be returning for refreshers with her regularly to ensure that we’re reviewing and adapting our event’s programme to keep it relevant and in high demand.’
